This client-facing role is responsible for addressing the reporting needs of assigned clients while providing operational support to ensure seamless execution of reporting and analytics processes. The role involves designing tools and reports to enhance productivity, measure the impact of sales force activities, and support promotional efforts. The individual will act as the point person for ensuring the quality of all delivered information, own reporting solutions, and provide training to internal and field-based teams. This position supports the goals of the Strategic Operations team by driving operational efficiency and reporting excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize Scrum or Agile principles for reporting services from pre-implementation through completion, including KPD definition, timeline management, resource allocation, quality assurance, and insight delivery.
- Provide operational support for reporting processes, including troubleshooting issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
- Engage Sales Management and Clients to shape, evaluate, and enhance performance metrics and reporting frameworks that drive business objectives.
- Assist in the design of new reporting initiatives, ensuring robust data structures aligned with organizational goals.
- Contribute to the strategic and tactical direction of analytics projects while maintaining strict quality standards on all deliverables, including routine reports and custom solutions.
- Connect activities driving results and discern trends while providing observations and insights to achieve brand success.
- Adhere to high-quality documentation practices, including business rules, report catalogs, scope changes, and technical specifications to support accuracy and reliability.
- Prepare and communicate comprehensive workflow diagrams mapping inputs, execution, and outputs.
- Monitor and deploy reports that meet functional and technical requirements leveraging best practices in data architecture and automation.
- Compile and share project information and data on a recurring basis to account activation and client services managers as needed.
- Conduct training for targeted field teams, managers, and clients on report adoption and effective utilization as needed.
- Continuously assess impact, effectiveness, activities, and trends to forecast performance, elevate efficiency, and drive process improvements.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ years of Pharmaceutical Industry and Technical Experience
- Strong analytical, mathematical, quantitative skills with attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of CRM systems, including but not limited to Salesforce.com and Veeva.
- Hands‑on Qlik development experience is required, including building, maintaining, and optimizing Qlik dashboards and data models
- Proficiency with reporting tools and data sets, including Microsoft SQL, MS Excel, and MS Access, with expertise in formulas, expressions, and charting.
- Knowledge of how to deploy technology to improve efficiencies and effectiveness, including business intelligence tools
- Ability to interact with all levels of management in various functional areas, including sales, marketing, sales systems, and managed care.
- Ability to interact with client stakeholders in various functional areas, including medical affairs, market access, managed care, consumer, and brand teams.
- Ability to multitask, work under deadlines, manage customer expectations, and execute timely deliverables.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of sales and marketing functions with the ability to anticipate needs, make recommendations, and respond to ad hoc requests quickly and appropriately.
- Strong statistical knowledge, training, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, SQL and Excel.
