YOUR ROLE
As a VIE Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions within the automotive sector. Working alongside a team of data professionals, you'll apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques to solve complex challenges facing automotive manufacturers and suppliers, helping them innovate and optimize their operations.
In this role you will play a key role in:
- Collecting, processing, and analyzing large automotive datasets using Python, SQL, and Snowflake to extract valuable insights for vehicle performance, manufacturing processes, and customer behavior
- Developing and implementing machine learning models to solve automotive industry challenges such as predictive maintenance, quality control, and supply chain optimization
- Creating data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders across automotive clients
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand automotive business requirements and translate them into data science solutions
- Maintaining version control of code and models using Git and implementing best practices for reproducible research in automotive data projects
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
- 1-2 years of professional experience in data science or analytics roles, preferably with exposure to automotive industry data
- Strong programming skills in Python with experience in data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy) and machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch)
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehousing platforms
- Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative development
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data modeling techniques applicable to automotive use cases
- Fluent in English
