Embedded Software Developer (FPGA Focus)

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an Embedded Software Developer with strong FPGA expertise to join our high‑tech engineering teams in Eindhoven. You will contribute to the development of advanced optical and imaging systems used in cutting‑edge industrial and high‑precision applications.

The Position

In this role, you will work on the development of embedded software and FPGA‑based solutions for high‑performance optical and imaging systems. You will collaborate closely with hardware, optics, and system engineers to deliver reliable, real‑time, and high‑speed solutions that integrate seamlessly into complex high‑tech products.

Your work will directly influence system performance, data throughput, and real‑time behavior in demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop FPGA‑based architectures and modules (VHDL/Verilog)

• Implement and optimize high‑speed data interfaces

• Integrate image sensors and related hardware components

• Develop real‑time embedded software for system control and data processing

• Perform testing, debugging, and validation of FPGA and embedded software

• Collaborate closely with hardware, optics, and system engineering teams

Must‑Have Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field

• Strong hands‑on experience with FPGA development (VHDL or Verilog)

• Solid experience with C/C++ for embedded systems

• Experience with high‑speed communication interfaces (e.g., LVDS, MIPI, PCIe, GigE)

• Experience with hardware‑near software development and debugging tools

• Dutch speaking

Nice‑to‑Have

• Experience with imaging or vision systems

• Experience in semiconductor or high‑tech equipment

• Knowledge of signal processing techniques

• Python experience for testing, automation, or validation

Ideal Candidate Persona

• FPGA Engineer with experience in high‑tech or complex system environments

• Embedded Engineer with a focus on machine vision or imaging systems

• Real‑time systems developer comfortable working close to hardware
