At UniCredit we are looking for an experienced AI Architect to join our newly formed AI Services and Solution Team. In this role you will have the possibility to participate and drive technical discussion with both digital and business stakeholders, collaborate with factory team in designing target architectures for use case delivery and support the design and implementation of our internally developed AI Platform. Additionally, you will be involved in the scouting and evaluation of market solutions to solve problems at scale across different UniCredit Geographies but also in shaping the technology decisions across internal enterprise systems, for example, choosing between buy, low‑code, or pro‑code approaches.

What you will do:

• Possibility to leave an impact from day zero, joining forces with different teams across the organization to shape the current and future enterprise AI Architecture.
• State of the art technological stack (fully on cloud) and methodologies (traditional ML, Gen AI and Agentic AI).
• Collaborate with engineers and Data Scientist to shape the use case delivery architecture.
• Actively Participate in our internal AI Platform evolution – with a strategic and forward-looking view in the design and adoption.
• Apply and evolve the internal buy vs make strategy and evaluate buy solutions including impact on business values and costs.
• Supporting the evolution and ongoing management of the Agentic Low-Code platform
• Support delivery team in strategic initiatives delivery from technical standpoint.

What we are looking for:

The ideal candidate has:

• In-depth knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure and components (Azure, GCP), with hands-on experience on most relevant cloud components.
• Experience in Enterprise Architecture and scouting plus evaluation of Buy solution.
• Experience with agentic low-code platforms (e.g. Gemini Enterprise, Copilot Studio)
• Extensive System design experience, including integration, sizing and disaster recovery.
• Experience in the AI domain as Engineer (Machine Learning Engineering, Tech Lead or similar).
• Engineering Background, master's degree in computer science or similar fields.
• Good Understanding of AI concepts and hands-on experience, this includes traditional ML models, Computer Vision, LLMs (RAG etc) and Agentic AI (multi agent patterns)

Nice to have:

• Experience in AI project delivery E2E including solution design and day-by-day delivery coordinating resources (both engineers and data scientist)
• Coding experience (Python and other languages) in backend system.
• Data Engineering experience, including pipelining but also data platform architecture design.
• Good understanding of networking concepts and architectures.
• MLOps / LLMOps experience including design and application.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker and in general microservices architecture.
• Understanding of enterprise software development best practices and tools (DevOps CI/CD, logging, monitoring).
• Experience leveraging diverse range of database services including SQL/NOSQL, Vector and Graph DB.
• UX/UI experience – focusing on Gen AI or AI user facing application.
• Experience in methodology development and testing for AI systems (e.g. data science methodology and experimentation)
