Position: Swedish Translator (Legal background preferred)

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $55-$75 per hour

Commitment: 10 hours/week

Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate AI-generated Swedish text for fluency, accuracy, and legal relevance
  • Annotate and correct outputs to ensure grammatical correctness and contextual clarity
  • Provide detailed feedback on grammar, semantics, style, and tone
  • Develop documentation and linguistic guidelines that improve consistency in AI outputs
  • Identify language-specific challenges and edge cases in Swedish legal text
  • Suggest improvements to datasets and linguistic rules used for AI model training

Requirements

  • Native-level proficiency in Swedish and strong professional fluency in English
  • Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, semantics, and stylistic usage in Swedish
  • Ability to identify subtle linguistic and cultural nuances in written text
  • Academic background in linguistics, translation, law, or a related discipline
  • Experience with translation, linguistic annotation, or content review
  • Familiarity with AI, natural language processing, or language technology environments is beneficial
