Collaborate with the Head of Commercial to provide insightful analysis and recommendations supporting business objectives. Prepare structured reports that summarize findings, trends, and actionable insights for stakeholders. Monitor and forecast financial metrics related to contracts, budgets, and business performance. Assess the impact of commercial strategies and propose modifications to enhance business outcomes. Develop and manage tools and models for effective data tracking and performance monitoring. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations within the commercial domain. Conduct stakeholder engagement to collect, validate, and present data relevant to project management and business operations.
Role Description:
Market & Competitor Analysis
- Capable of conducting robust market analysis and forecasting trends to support commercial decision-making effectively.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and emerging trends.
- Analyze competitor pricing, product positioning, and commercial strategies.
- Provide insights that support business development and strategic planning.
Pricing & Profitability Management
- Skilled in preparing and utilizing comprehensive financial models that align with organizational goals and business strategies.
- Evaluate pricing structures and discount strategies and perform margin analysis to improve profitability.
- Support pricing optimization initiatives.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Proficient in using visualization tools to present complex data comprehensively and understandably to stakeholders.
- Build dashboards and reports to track commercial metrics and translate complex data into clear business insights and recommendations.
- Present findings to senior management.
Commercial Performance Analysis
- Analyze sales performance, revenue trends, and profitability across products, customers, and regions.
- Develop financial models to assess commercial initiatives and pricing strategies and monitor KPIs related to sales growth, margins, and customer acquisition.
Strategic Planning
- Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
- Identify operational improvements and revenue optimization opportunities and support cross-functional projects that drive commercial growth.
New Service Innovations
- Where appropriate, feed potential new service innovation requests or ideas into the business and work with clients to develop partnership based solutions and services.
- Develop internal Business Cases to help support new innovation ideas as part of feasibility study into whether they should be taken forward and developed into full service offerings.
Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong, professional communication skills, able to liaise with senior client management using appropriate level of detail, terminology and style
- Good cross-functional knowledge of S+ services
- Experience of shared-services an advantage
- Account management experience preferable
- Strong planning and organizing, ability to see the big picture
- Strong communication skills and personable manner with clients
- Proactive with can-do-attitude
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Qualifications And Relevant Roles/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business Administration, or related field, Proven experience in data analysis and reporting within commercial or contract management environments, Strong proficiency in analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, or Power BI, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- 2–5+ years of experience in business analysis, commercial analytics, or financial analysis
