We are looking for an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Product Manager to lead the delivery and evolution of critical digital identity services within a large-scale Healthcare transformation programme.
This role will lead cross-functional teams delivering user-centred digital products and services across the full product lifecycle β from discovery and alpha through beta and live β ensuring solutions deliver measurable value for both users and the wider healthcare system.
The Role
As a Product Manager, you will own the vision, strategy and delivery of identity and access management products that support secure, seamless access to healthcare services and digital platforms.
You will work across organisational and functional boundaries to align stakeholders, guide delivery teams, and champion user-centred and agile ways of working.
This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage complex programmes across multiple suppliers and teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Leadership
- Own and communicate the product vision and roadmap for IAM services alongside senior stakeholders and programme governance.
- Lead product development teams through discovery, alpha, beta and live phases.
- Ensure products deliver measurable value and outcomes for users and healthcare organisations.
- Identify opportunities to address user problems and develop new capabilities or use cases.
Product Management
- Define and maintain the product backlog and roadmap, prioritising features aligned to user needs.
- Work closely with delivery teams to define and refine user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Set sprint goals and objectives and ensure delivery teams remain focused on outcomes.
- Manage the transition of products into public beta and live environments.
Stakeholder & Governance Management
- Work closely with Senior Responsible Officers (SROs) and programme governance bodies to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Build strong relationships across healthcare organisations to ensure collaboration and adoption.
- Provide progress updates and reporting to programme steering groups.
- Lead negotiations and influence senior internal and external stakeholders to secure optimal outcomes.
Supplier & Delivery Management
- Procure and manage external suppliers and delivery partners involved in the IAM service.
- Ensure delivery milestones are tracked and risks are managed effectively.
- Ensure services deliver value for money while maintaining quality and governance standards.
Strategy & Continuous Improvement
- Support the development of strategic plans, business cases and operational strategies.
- Use data, insights and evidence to drive service improvements and product evolution.
- Develop performance metrics and success measures to track delivery against organisational objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement in process efficiency and service performance.
Leadership & Culture
- Champion user-centred design and agile delivery practices within teams and across the wider organisation.
- Build and lead internal teams responsible for supporting products as they move into live service.
- Promote a collaborative working culture focused on innovation, quality and outcomes.
Required Experience
- Strong experience working as a Product Manager within complex digital programmes
- Experience delivering Identity & Access Management (IAM) products or platforms
- Proven experience delivering products through Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live
- Experience managing multi-supplier delivery environments
- Strong stakeholder management across senior leadership and governance structures
- Experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps and agile delivery teams
- Ability to translate user needs into product strategy and delivery outcomes
- Experience working in large regulated environments (Healthcare, Government, or Public Sector desirable)
