About the Role

A ServiceNow Developer position is available within a collaborative delivery environment supporting a growing backlog of initiatives across the ServiceNow platform.

The requirement has arisen as the team continues to receive a steady stream of business demand but has found it difficult to work through the existing backlog of initiatives. To address this, they are looking to bring in an additional developer for an initial six month period to help make meaningful progress across the stack of work.

You will operate as a hands on technical contributor responsible for building and delivering solutions within the ServiceNow platform while working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into working functionality.

The role combines development, stakeholder engagement, and delivery responsibilities, taking initiatives from initial request through to build, testing, and deployment into the production environment.

This is initially a six month contract. At this stage it is unclear whether the role will extend.

You Should Have

• Around five or more years of total commercial development experience

• ServiceNow development experience

• Ideally around three years of experience working specifically with ServiceNow

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with business stakeholders

• A proactive mindset and the ability to work through a backlog of initiatives

Technical Requirements

Must have

• ServiceNow development experience

• Approximately three years of hands on ServiceNow platform experience

• Five or more years of total commercial experience

• Experience developing and delivering solutions within the ServiceNow platform

• Ability to work with stakeholders to understand and translate requirements

Nice to have

• Ability to operate comfortably within a collaborative delivery environment

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake ServiceNow development across a backlog of initiatives

• Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and define build outcomes

• Build solutions within the ServiceNow platform

• Showcase completed builds back to the business

• Conduct unit testing of developed functionality

• Coordinate user acceptance testing with stakeholders

• Support deployment of solutions into the production environment

Team and Reporting Structure

You will report to the Solutions Manager and work closely with the ServiceNow Lead as your direct technical lead.

The broader delivery team consists of approximately ten people working across the platform.

Working Arrangements

• Hybrid working model with one day per week in the office and four days working from home

• Friday is the standard in office day

Rate

Contract day rate of up to $1,250 per day (inclusive of superannuation).
