The IT Engineer provides advanced on-site and remote technical support, including hardware setup, software installation and upgrades, user access management, and complex IT troubleshooting. This role leads the diagnosis of advanced issues, ensures system reliability, mentors junior team members, and supports critical applications. The primary focus is on delivering an exceptional IT experience for RSI staff by ensuring all systems, networks, and software operate efficiently and reliably.
What You'll Do
- Deliver an exceptional IT experience for RSI employees through proactive management and maintenance of IT applications.
- Manage user administration within Identity & Access Management systems (e.g., CyberArk, Delinea, Okta, ForgeRock).
- Provide timely technical support via phone, email, and in person; troubleshoot hardware, software, networks, and peripherals.
- Log and document incidents in the helpdesk ticketing system; escalate issues when needed.
- Install, configure, and maintain systems, applications, and devices.
- Promote IT & InfoSec policies and security best practices across the organization.
- Monitor system performance and ensure consistent IT service availability across multiple time zones.
- Support IT asset management, projects, documentation, and user training.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in IT support.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years in IT Support, Helpdesk, or similar role.
- Experience with O365 and ITIL practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, Linux, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability, critical thinking, and sound judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, MCITP, or similar) are a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic & international).
