CONTEXT AND CHALLENGE
Hermès (Suisse) SA is a subsidiary of Hermès International responsible for the distribution of Hermès products in Switzerland and Poland.
The network consists of 9 stores (Geneva, Zurich, Lausanne, Lugano, Bale, Gstaad, Saint-Moritz, Crans-Montana and Warsaw) as well as the Head Office in Geneva.
OVERALL MISSION
The IT Manager's main mission is to deploy and provide the subsidiary's employees with the IT and communications tools and infrastructure (hardware, networks and software) they need to carry out their work, in line with the Group's policy and strategy, and in a spirit of service to users and end customers.
To this end, he/she collaborates with central teams and various service providers.
PERIMETER
- Around 180 employees at 13 different sites / 2 countries
- Fixed and portable workstations, cash registers & POS terminals, telephony, printers, servers...
- Supplier relationship management
- Close cooperation with the Retail Operations Manager and the European and Group IT Departments
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Management of service providers and budgets
- With the support of the IT Manager for Europe and the HCH Finance Department, prepares the annual budget and revises it according to the subsidiary's needs and Group guidelines.
- Is responsible for controlling expenses incurred and monitoring the budget
- Organizes, supervises and controls the work of department staff
- Carries out regular calls for tender and benchmarks to monitor supplier efficiency.
Support
- Provides support to all the subsidiary's users, helping them to resolve any incident relating to IT, communication or payment systems.
- Follows up incidents and requested services with the support and tools of the Group IT team and/or external service provider.
- Produce monthly reports on the main indicators used to monitor activity, and propose action plans.
Asset administration & profiles
- Manages IT equipment, telephones and all communication and payment tools: makes purchases in accordance with Group procedures, places orders, takes inventory and manages the replacement of tools with foresight.
- Creates profiles and monitors access according to managers' requests.
Tool performance and safety
- Applies and enforces the Group's security rules in its field. Completes IT security procedures where necessary
- Helps prepare and update business continuity plans (procedures, back-up, etc.).
- Supports internal and external auditors.
- Alerts and collaborates with internal controllers in the event of risks or compliance issues
- Regularly assesses infrastructure performance and submits recommendations
- Reports on IT security issues to the Group and the IT Manager for Europe, and shares any useful information on the subject.
Tool deployment
- Implements local or Group-defined IT plans (implementation, project follow-up, parameterization, testing, etc.).
- Shares needs and difficulties encountered with Group IT management and the IT Manager for Europe.
- Through his/her understanding of business issues, proposes improvements to existing systems and processes, represents the needs and interests of subsidiaries to the Group, leads a roadmap and guarantees responsiveness to meet punctual and urgent needs, particularly those of sales outlets.
PROFILE
Experience
- 5 years' experience in a multi-site environment preferred
- Experience in IT project management (opening/closing of sales outlets, relocation, migration, etc.)
- Experience in building and monitoring budgets
Skills and know-how
- Good management, steering and project experience
- Interest in the retail business and a multicultural working environment
- Strategic thinking and detailed understanding of operational processes
- Ability to prioritize and/or delegate
- Proactivity and responsiveness, respecting procedures and deadlines
- Resilience
- Team spirit, a sense of service and a taste for operations, particularly in the context of business emergencies
- Ability to define and formulate user requirements in order to provide the best possible response, taking into account deadlines, budgets, etc.
