The CTO will be responsible for defining the technological strategy, vision and overseeing the operational execution of all IT activities, covering both Build (Projects, development, architecture, delivery, innovation) and Run (operations, support, reliability, cybersecurity, compliance).
Job description
- Define and manage the technology roadmap in alignment with the business strategy and EMEA guidelines
- Anticipate technological evolutions and propose strategic directions (scalability, architecture, security, performance)
- Identify innovation levers and optimization opportunities to strengthen competitiveness and organizational efficiency
- Ensure delivery quality, architectural robustness, solution performance, and system reliability in production
- Structure and evolve technical practices: solution delivery management, project management, program management, product management, documentation, observability, and monitoring
- Guarantee service availability, resilience, and continuity by managing key indicators (SLA, SLO, MTTR) and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Oversee major incident management, coordinate remediation plans, and ensure clear communication with stakeholders
- Occasionally provide hands-on support on complex technical topics (technical reviews, arbitration, advanced diagnostics)
- Structure project governance: prioritization, arbitration, and Build/Run synchronization
- Ensure consistency across cross-functional projects (middle office, applications, finance, IT support) and guarantee effective coordination with technical teams
- Oversee the security of systems, data, and infrastructure
- Lead audits, certifications, and improvement plans.
Requirements
- You have a higher education degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field
- You have at least 5 years of proven experience in a technology leadership role, ideally within a fast-growing organization
- Your background has given you strong mastery of Build & Run environments, including development, architecture, operations, support, security, and delivery
- You are able to work in an autonomous, proactive, and results-driven manner while collaborating effectively within a matrix organization
- You have a strong product and technology mindset and can translate business challenges into clear, structured technical directions
- With strong leadership skills, you know how to unite, support, and develop multidisciplinary teams (developers, architects, PMOs, IT Ops)
- You are comfortable operating in demanding environments, with the ability to prioritize, arbitrate, and manage complex projects under tight deadlines
- Curious, open-minded, and pragmatic, you naturally focus on problem-solving, continuous improvement, and innovation
- You are proactive, structured, impact-oriented, and capable of taking a step back while remaining hands on when needed
- You take ownership of your work and share accountability within the organization
