About the Role

 

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a team building and operating a large-scale cloud platform that supports the delivery of secure and reliable digital services.

 

In this role, you will work with experienced engineers to develop platform capabilities that enable teams to build, deploy and operate applications efficiently across commercial cloud environments. You will contribute to automation initiatives, cloud infrastructure improvements and the development of tools that support scalable and secure systems.

 

This role is suitable for engineers who are interested in cloud platforms, DevOps practices and automation at scale.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Contribute to the design, development and operation of a cloud platform used by multiple application teams.

 

• Build and maintain backend automation services and APIs using NodeJS and Python.

 

• Support the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows using tools such as GitLab, Atlassian toolchain and Terraform.

 

• Assist in implementing automation solutions and cloud landing zone frameworks across different cloud environments.

 

• Work with engineering teams to improve deployment processes, reliability and system scalability.

 

• Contribute to platform improvements that enhance security, availability and operational efficiency.

 

• Collaborate with team members to support adoption of DevOps practices and engineering best practices.

 

Requirements

 

• 2+ years of experience in backend development, DevOps, platform engineering or a related role.

 

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

 

• Experience or familiarity with NodeJS and/or Python.

 

• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

 

• Exposure to Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

 

• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.

 

• Interest in cloud infrastructure, automation and platform engineering.

 

• Willingness to learn and work with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
