We are currently seeking an experienced person to join our APAC Human Resources team as a Human Resources Specialist based in Sydney. The responsibilities of this role include providing operational and general Human Resources support to both the ANZ and Korean bioMerieux business, across a wide variety of areas including recruitment, HRIS management, employee relations, compensation / benefits and employee engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

Operational Support

  • Maintain accurate data in all HR systems including entering and managing employee HR data / changes in the myHR system with a high degree of accuracy
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics for decision-making
  • Manage HR data and reporting of absenteeism, turnover and core HR metrics on a monthly basis including the presentation of date in relevant scorecards
  • Support the management and administration of employee benefits including service anniversaries, key employee milestones, insurance, superannuation etc
  • Support fortnightly and monthly payroll processing activities for different bioMérieux entitles
  • Support annual bioMerieux people process activities including compensation and performance review processes, talent management etc
  • Support the local implementation of regional / global HR initiatives and projects as required
  • Support the administration of local training initiatives, training plans and employee development actions
  • Support and help to facilitate employee engagement initiatives to enhance employee experience and feedback across the organisation in alignment with company values and behaviours

Employee Relations:

  • Support employees and managers regarding HR-related queries
  • Provide high level guidance on performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes

Policy & Compliance:

  • Support adherence to local labor laws and company policies. Updates policies, employee handbooks and support policy development and enhancement in alignment with company priorities and local labour laws
  • Assist in implementing global / regional HR initiatives while adapting them to local regulations

Recruitment & Employee Lifecycle Management:

  • Support recruitment activities, including job postings, interviews, and offer management.
  • Support the recruitment of employees across all business areas
  • Coordinate onboarding / offboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires

Culture & Engagement:

  • Promote and support local and global diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
  • Support employee engagement programs and surveys – Global Engagement Survey Administration and Follow Up

Skills / Educational requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field
  • Up to 3 years experience in a similar role within a multinational organisation
  • Ability to speak Korean would be advantageous
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digitisation tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organised, proactive and a team player who can manage working across two countries
  • Strong analytical abilities and high attention to detail particularly with HR data
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment
