The Security Specialist - ICT & Facilities Controls is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and continuous improvement of security procedures governing ICT devices, access controls and facility security. The role ensures that security practices align with organisational policies and regulatory requirements while promoting effective management of electronic devices and secure working environments. NV1 Clearance is a requirement for this role.

Requirements

What you'll do:

  • Review, develop and maintain security procedures governing the use of ICT devices and electronic equipment within secure environments.
  • Develop clear guidelines outlining restrictions, controls and permitted use of electronic devices across varying security levels.
  • Define and document processes for managing electronic devices within controlled facilities, ensuring alignment with broader organisational security frameworks.
  • Implement and refine access control procedures for official ICT equipment, including authentication, check-in processes and system compliance requirements.
  • Review and support the improvement of facility security controls to ensure they meet operational and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to ensure security procedures are practical, effective and aligned with organisational policies.
  • Support the implementation of best practices for ICT device management, access management and information protection.
  • Monitor and evaluate existing security processes and recommend improvements to strengthen security posture and operational effectiveness

What you'll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing security procedures and protocols across ICT and facility environments.
  • Strong understanding of ICT security controls including device security, access management and data protection practices.
  • Knowledge of physical security and facility control measures within controlled or secure working environments.
  • Ability to review and document security processes, procedures and operational guidelines.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to collaborate with technical teams, leadership and operational personnel.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and recommend practical security improvements.
  • Relevant qualifications or professional experience in security, ICT security or risk management are desirable.
  • Experience working in highly regulated or secure environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with government or defence-related security frameworks and policies is desirable
