Role Overview:
As a Level 2/3 Support Engineer, you will focus on providing exceptional Level 2 and Level 3 technical support to our client’s IT infrastructure. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work from their Brisbane office and remotely, ensuring seamless operations across their network. While the primary focus is on support, there may be occasional involvement in IT projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2 and 3 technical support for network systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues, focusing on routing and switching (Cisco technologies).
- Manage and support Check Point firewalls, ensuring robust security measures.
- Collaborate on network upgrades and optimization projects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior support staff.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in IT support, with strong knowledge of L2/L3 technologies.
- Proficiency in:
- Networking protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, MPLS).
- Cisco routing and switching technologies.
- Check Point firewall management and configuration.
- Solid WAN experience, with the ability to work across multiple networking disciplines.
