Requirements

  • 7+ years of project management experience, preferably within technology or telecommunications environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with legacy platforms such as Smallworld and Ericsson Network Engineer is preferred.
  • Prior team leadership or supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Project.
  • Solid understanding of PMI PMBOK methodologies; PMP certification is considered a strong advantage.
  • The Project Manager (PM) provides leadership and governance for large-scale implementations or multiple medium-sized projects delivering 3-GIS technology solutions to Tier 1 and Tier 2 telecommunications organizations.
  • This role operates within a collaborative and high-performing Project Management Office (PMO), contributing to successful project delivery and supporting the strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Manage large-scale projects, programs, or multiple mid-sized projects, ensuring successful delivery against defined objectives.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, driving alignment toward project goals and outcomes.
  • Establish and manage stakeholder expectations, delegating deliverables and coordinating work across project resources.
  • Define project success criteria and communicate them effectively to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, and change control, ensuring project schedules remain current and aligned with deliverables.
  • Identify, document, and manage risks, issues, action items, and decisions, ensuring timely resolution of escalations.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee project activities, including budgeting, resource allocation, and financial management.
  • Monitor day-to-day project operations, ensuring cost, schedule, scope, and quality objectives are achieved.
  • Present financial and project progress updates during monthly PMO reviews.
  • Lead internal and client-facing meetings to track milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Provide weekly status reports to internal leadership and external stakeholders covering progress, risks, issues, and key decisions.
  • Review team time entries and billable hours to ensure project accountability and financial accuracy.
  • Monitor team performance, escalating concerns that could impact project delivery.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to PMO team members to support professional growth and skill development.
  • Contribute to industry engagement activities, including conferences, workshops, and thought leadership initiatives when applicable.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of 3-GIS products, internal policies, and PMO processes.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to PMO processes to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Continue professional development to stay current with emerging technologies, project management methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support overall organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing, cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced understanding of project management methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Ability to apply project management principles, techniques, and tools, and guide others in their implementation.
