The Forward Deployed Engineer is responsible for:
- Rapidly deploying Palantir Foundry use cases into live business environments
- Working shoulder-to-shoulder with end users to solve real operational problems
- Building scalable, reusable data pipelines, applications, and decision workflows
- Ensuring Foundry delivers measurable business impact, not just dashboards

Roles, Responsibilities, Duties
1. Forward Deployment & Use-Case Delivery
- Embed with Modon business units to understand workflows, pain points, and decision processes.
- Design and deliver end-to-end Foundry use cases, from raw data ingestion to operational applications.
- Rapidly prototype, iterate, and deploy solutions directly into production environments.
- Own use cases post-deployment, ensuring adoption, performance, and continuous improvement.
2. Palantir Foundry Engineering
- Build and maintain Foundry pipelines, transforms, and data models.
- Develop Foundry applications, operational workflows, and decision layers.
- Implement access controls, lineage, and data governance within Foundry.
- Integrate Foundry with enterprise systems (e.g. ERP, CRM, IoT, GIS, finance, property systems).
3. Real Estate & Asset Use Cases
- Deliver Foundry solutions across:
- Development planning and project controls
- Asset performance and operations monitoring
- Sales pipelines and inventory management
- Retail and tenant performance analytics
- Customer and loyalty analytics
- Translate complex datasets into actionable insights and operational tools for non-technical users.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Enablement
- Act as a trusted technical partner to business users and product owners.
- Translate business questions into clear technical designs and executable workflows.
- Enable end users through training, documentation, and hands-on support.
- Work closely with central data, AI, and platform teams to align standards and best practices.
5. Engineering Excellence & Scale
- Ensure solutions are robust, reusable, and scalable, not one-off builds.
- Apply software engineering best practices (versioning, testing, modular design).
- Contribute to Foundry patterns, accelerators, and internal playbooks.
- Support platform evolution and performance optimisation.
Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a STEM discipline is required.
Experience and Competencies:
Experience
- 8-12 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or analytics engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience working with Palantir Foundry in production environments (strongly preferred).
- Experience delivering solutions in complex enterprise or government environments.
- Exposure to real estate, infrastructure, logistics, utilities, or asset-heavy industries is a strong advantage.
Competencies
- Strong proficiency in Foundry pipelines, transforms, and ontology modelling
- Solid programming skills in Python and/or SQL.
- Experience integrating data from APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and distributed data platforms.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and access control principles.
- Familiarity with GDPR-aligned data models and governance frameworks
