Your New Role

As the Information Security Lead, you will report directly to the Infrastructure & Security Manager, serving as the central authority for the organization’s security posture. Your mission is to protect the confidentiality and integrity of critical information assets through:

• Security Coordination: Acting as the primary point of contact for all security initiatives, ensuring seamless integration between IT infrastructure, applications, and business units.
• SOC Management: Overseeing the performance of the outsourced Security Operations Center (SOC), defining KPIs, and ensuring effective threat detection and response.
• Product Oversight: Managing the deployment and configuration of the security stack, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and SIEM tools.
• Audit & Compliance: Leading the charge for internal and external audits, ensuring the organization meets ISO 27001 and NIST standards.
• Strategic Reporting: Providing management with a comprehensive overview of the company’s security state through data-driven metrics and risk assessments.
• Incident Response: Supporting containment and recovery efforts during security events and conducting post-incident analysis to bolster future defenses.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To excel in this role, you must be a proactive leader with a deep technical background and the ability to drive a security-conscious culture. You will need:

• Experience: 7–10 years in information security, specifically in roles that require high-level coordination and vendor management.
• Industry Knowledge: A strong preference for candidates with experience in the Maritime or Oil & Gas sectors, including an understanding of Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
• Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with security product management and a proven track record of managing outsourced SOC providers.
• Compliance Frameworks: Deep familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, and general risk assessment methodologies.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Security. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical vulnerabilities into actionable business risks for non-technical stakeholders.
