This is a high-ownership role where you will shape front-end standards, help scale a growing team, and deliver fast, reliable user experiences used by a large, national audience.

The role

• Own and evolve a customer-facing web application in React, focusing on performance and scalability
• Help optimise real-time user experiences for speed and resilience under high traffic.
• Contribute to front-end architecture decisions as legacy patterns are replaced and the platform is consolidated.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering peers, and mentor others on front-end best practices.

About you

• Strong commercial experience building production web apps with React, Next.js and Typescript
• A pragmatic mindset: you know when to iterate vs when to invest in longer-term foundations.
• Experience in mentoring other engineers.
• Comfortable in a changing environment with a lot of autonomy and ambiguity.
