OptiZone is a sports technology startup using wearable sensors and advanced analytics to predict and prevent injuries in athletes. Our platform assesses ACL injury risk and provides personalized recommendations based on biomechanics and recovery factors. Our mission is to help athletes train smarter and stay healthier.

Job Summary

We are looking for a versatile Senior Full-Stack Engineer to lead the development of our core software platform. You will be responsible for the entire ecosystem—from mobile apps that interface with hardware to the cloud infrastructure that processes biomechanical data.

Key Responsibilities

• Cross-Platform Mobile: Develop and maintain our mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• IoT Integration: Implement BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) protocols to stream high-frequency data from IMU sensors.
• Cloud & Backend: Architect and scale our backend services and data processing pipelines.
• Web Dashboard: Build and refine the athlete/coach dashboard for data visualization and reporting.
• Collaboration: Work alongside sports scientists and biomechanics engineers to translate research into production-ready features.

Technical Skills & Stack

• Mobile: Proficiency in Kotlin/Jetpack Compose (Android) and Swift/SwiftUI (iOS), or experience with cross-platform frameworks like Flutter.
• Backend: Node.js (TypeScript) or Python (FastAPI).
• Cloud & Infrastructure:
• Provider: AWS (preferred) or GCP.
• Services: EC2/Lambda, S3, and Docker/Kubernetes for containerization.
• Database: PostgreSQL (Relational) and Redis (Caching).
• Frontend: React.js with modern CSS/Tailwind.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience in building and deploying mobile apps to both App Store and Play Store.
• Familiarity with signal processing or sensor data (IMU/BLE) is a major plus.

Soft Skills

• Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technical code and scientific research.
