Role: Cyber Security Advisor / Architect (12-Month Contract)

Location: Adelaide CBD - 2-3 days in office / WFH

We’re partnering with a major critical infrastructure organisation seeking a Cyber Security Advisor / Architect for a 12-month engagement. This role will see you embedded across a wide portfolio of IT and business projects, providing security architecture guidance and governance advice to ensure strong security outcomes across the organisation.

The environment is highly project-driven, with multiple initiatives running simultaneously. You’ll play a key role advising project teams on security architecture, risk, and governance as new infrastructure, cloud, and customer-facing platforms are delivered.

This is a consulting-style role suited to someone who enjoys influencing security outcomes, working across multiple initiatives, and partnering closely with both cyber, technical, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Provide security architecture guidance and advisory support across multiple projects running in parallel.
• Embed security into IT and business initiatives by providing risk, governance, and security design input.
• Advise project teams on secure infrastructure, networking, and cloud architecture.
• Contribute to security governance processes including risk assessments, security reviews, and project assurance.
• Work closely with delivery teams to ensure security controls align with business objectives and regulatory expectations.
• Partner with the Cyber Security Manager and collaborate with a team of Security Advisors across a diverse project portfolio.

Experience Required:

• Experience working as a Security Advisor, Security Architect, GRC specialist, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of security architecture principles and governance frameworks.
• Experience providing security advice across infrastructure, networking, or cloud-based projects.
• Exposure to Azure or modern cloud environments.
• Ability to operate across multiple initiatives and provide practical, risk-based security guidance.
