Senior Software Engineer | Backend | Remote Austria

We're building a web-based CRM platform that over 1,000customers across the DACH region rely on every day. The backend is where the work happens, and we need someone who can help scale it properly.

This is a remote role based in Austria. You'll own backend services end to end from design, build, ship, maintain. The platform is growing fast, which means real engineering challenges around performance, reliability and integration. If you like solving problems and having a say in how things are built, this is that kind of role.

Experience

• 5+ years building backend systems (Java, Spring Boot)
• Strong with relational databases (MySQL or similar), bonus if you know Elasticsearch
• Built and operated production systems that need to scale
• Comfortable with AWS, CI/CD (GitLab), and automated testing (JUnit, Mockito)
• Fluent German and good English

What you'll do

• Design and build backend services and APIs for a platform that real businesses depend on daily
• Turn business and customer requirements into clean, reliable technical solutions
• Debug production issues when things go sideways, including third-level support
• Work directly with Customer Support, Sales and external partners on integrations
• Help improve how we work: agile practices, tooling, documentation, processes
