👥 Your role in the team

Our team provides an internal company platform that spans from application development with GitLab to operation in Kubernetes and AWS.

Specifically for the production operation of Kubernetes and PostgreSQL, we rely on the services of a partner. Infrastructure systems, e.g., for logging (Elastic Stack) and monitoring (Prometheus and Grafana), as well as internal Kubernetes clusters, are operated by us on virtual machines provided by the Linux operations team.

In close collaboration with the application development teams, the Linux operations team, and our operational partners, we continuously develop this platform.

Technologies that are important to us, which you know and ideally master:Linux (Debian, Oracle Linux), Containers, HTTP, PKI, TLS, Git, Kubernetes, Helm, Prometheus, Elastic Stack, GitLab, GitLab CI, Shell Scripting, Ansible, Python, Terraform/OpenTofu,AWSNginx, HAProxy, Jira, Confluence

These technologies are familiar to you or even well-known:Proxmox Hypervisor, Monitoring with Icinga2/Nagios/LibreNMS, Databases (PostgreSQL), Message Broker (RabbitMQ)

Your role

• Operation, maintenance, and continuous updating of the DevOps infrastructure
• Ensuring a stable and reliable operation of the DevOps platform as well as analyzing and coordinating responses to anomalies or disruptions.
• Support and advise development teams on the effective use of our DevOps platform and CI/CD workflows.
• Analysis and further development of the existing workflows, tools, and systems of the DevOps platform
• Expansion of platform capabilities with a focus on automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Further development and optimization of the platform architecture in close collaboration with development and operations.

Qualifications

Your profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in the Linux environment and a strong personal interest in Linux and open source.
• Experience with cloud infrastructures, particularly AWS, as well as in the operation and automation of modern system landscapes.
• Solid education in the IT field or comparable practical experience
• Very good knowledge of German
• Developing sustainable, well-thought-out solutions at the current state of technology is a matter of course for you.
• A high degree of initiative and continuous development of your professional and technical skills are part of your way of working.
• You analyze systems and contexts in a structured manner, identify optimization potentials, and independently implement improvements.
• Quality, maintainability, and sustainable results are a high priority for you; you work in a structured manner, test thoroughly, and promote review and quality processes within the team.

• A relevant education and relevant professional experience are advantageous.
