Freelance Project Director | BESS Project

We’re partnering with a leading EPC contractor on a crucial photovoltaic and battery energy storage project in Germany. This initiative is a key part of the region’s renewable energy strategy, aimed at boosting the nation’s renewable energy sources, as well as accelerating the energy transition. We’re seeking an experienced and ambitious Project Director to lead and oversee development, construction and eventual commissioning at the site.

• Location: Dortmund, Germany
• Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension)
• Start Date: April 2026
• Language: English essential, German desirable

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance and timely delivery
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and ensure smooth communication throughout the project lifecycle
• Supervising high quality work from start to finish
• Oversee the construction of the project

Essential:

• Proven experience managing and delivering BESS facilities and/or large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of project lifecycle management
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• EU Passport
