Graduate SRE (Java) required for our Cork based client. This is a fast paced, young, dynamic organization that develops a number of e-commerce web applications, delivering a high-performance system to global users.

The ideal Graduate SRE (Java) will have graduated from Computer Science or IT related degree and be able to showcase some Java coding projects (college or personal). This is a full time position based in Cork

Responsibilities:

• Support operational applications, systems, and software environments across both vendor and internally hosted infrastructure
• Manage issue queues, prioritise critical incidents, and communicate updates clearly to stakeholders
• Monitor system alerts and respond quickly to service failures or escalations
• Document processes, standards, and best practices to improve support operations
• Collaborate with internal teams using tools such as Jira, Slack, and other operational platforms
• Work alongside product and engineering teams to contribute operational insights during development
• Help develop tools and documentation to diagnose and resolve system issues
• Participate in 24×7 on-call rotations when required

Requirements:

• Computer Science or IT related Degree
• Knowledge of the following:

Java web based servers and applications

Python and Shell scripting

Linux environment

• Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL
• Quick learner with excellent communication skills
• Be available for on call rotation when required
