A leading, highly regarded professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Cloud Support Engineer to join its IT Operations function. Technology plays a central role in enabling business performance, security, and digital innovation across the organisation.
This position sits within a collaborative IT team responsible for delivering secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure services across on-prem and cloud environments.
This is a 6 month contract with potential of extension.
You will be responsible for supporting and enhancing core infrastructure platforms including servers, virtualisation, storage, networking, and Microsoft 365 cloud services.
Key focus areas include:
Supporting on-prem and cloud infrastructure (M365, Azure AD/Entra ID, virtualisation, storage, networking)
Monitoring performance, capacity, availability, and resilience
Managing patching, upgrades, and configuration changes
Acting as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
Administering Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Conditional Access, MFA)
Supporting ITIL-based incident, problem, and change processes
Partnering with security teams on vulnerability remediation and compliance
Contributing to infrastructure modernisation and cloud adoption initiatives
Driving automation, optimisation, and continuous improvement
Experience
5+ years' experience in IT infrastructure or technical operations
Strong Microsoft ecosystem experience (Windows Server, AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP)
Proven Microsoft 365 administration experience
Experience with VMware or similar virtualisation platforms
Solid networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, firewalls, routing, switching)
Understanding of ITIL processes
Relevant certifications desirable (Microsoft 365, Cisco, ITIL, Azure Fundamentals)
