IT Director – Ireland (Dublin | Hybrid)
Salary & Package: €150,000–€160,000 + 20% Bonus + Benefits
We are partnering with a well-established organisation in the retail and hospitality sector to appoint an IT Director for their Ireland business. This role sits on the Senior Leadership Team and will be responsible for leading technology strategy and delivery across the region while working closely with the wider group technology function.
This is a high-impact leadership position, overseeing a team of around 25 technology professionals and playing a key role in delivering a large portfolio of strategic technology initiatives.
The Role
The IT Director will lead technology operations, applications, and project delivery for the Irish business while contributing to the wider group technology roadmap. The role requires a strong leader who can drive organisational maturity, ensure consistent delivery of technology programmes, and effectively engage senior stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the regional IT function, including IT Operations, Applications & Data, and Projects/Innovation
- Managing a team of ~25 people including contractors and vendors, with 3 direct reports
- Delivering technology initiatives aligned to the group technology strategy, while shaping regional execution
- Driving improvements in IT service management, cyber security, and operational maturity
- Leading large-scale infrastructure and business systems projects, including major POS and ERP initiatives
- Supporting the organisation’s continued digital and operational transformation
- Managing senior stakeholder relationships across the Senior Leadership Team
- Ensuring strong governance, communication, and reporting on programme and project delivery
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role (IT Director, Head of IT, or similar)
- Background in retail, hospitality, or other customer-facing environments is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of ERP and POS systems within physical retail environments
- Experience leading technology teams and complex project delivery portfolios
- Demonstrated success driving organisational change and operational maturity through IT
- Strong stakeholder management experience, particularly engaging senior leadership teams
- Experience working within a group or multi-region technology structure
- Knowledge of Microsoft-based environments and cloud technologies
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead in a collaborative, fast-moving environment
