Role Overview
The Data & Business Intelligence Analyst will support the organisation’s digital transformation and data strategy within the ICT & Business Services function. Reporting to the Digital Transformation Delivery Manager, the role focuses on improving data quality, enhancing analytics capabilities, and enabling data-driven decision making across the organisation.
The role involves analysing complex datasets, developing reporting and visualisation solutions, and collaborating with business and technical teams to deliver insights, improve processes, and support strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse organisational data to identify trends, insights, and data quality issues, supporting informed decision-making.
- Develop data queries, reports, and dashboards using visualisation tools to support operational and strategic objectives.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data and reporting solutions.
- Support improvements in data governance, data quality, and data management practices.
- Extract, integrate, and analyse data from multiple systems and sources to generate actionable insights.
- Contribute to process improvements through data analytics, process discovery, and predictive modelling techniques.
- Assist with data migration, system integration, and interoperability initiatives.
- Provide technical support for data-related issues across enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver data and analytics projects.
Experience & Qualifications
- Third-level qualification in Data Analytics, IT, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a data analytics, business intelligence, or similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience delivering data-driven insights.
- Experience working with SQL databases and data querying tools.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
- Experience extracting, integrating, and analysing large datasets.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform or similar low-code solutions.
- Knowledge of scripting or data analysis tools such as Python or R.
- Experience supporting data migrations, system integrations, or API-based data exchange.
