Lead Project Manager - Tieto Banktech (m/f/d)
We are looking for aLead Project Manager who wants to be part of Tieto Banktech. Tieto Banktech powers some of the Nordics’ most trusted banking systems with secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. Using automation, data, AI, and cloud, supported by hands-on guidance, we help banks modernize their core, strengthen trust, and deliver greater impact across the banking experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex projects or programs, often consisting of multiple sub-projects, external vendors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure successful delivery of multi-site and global customer projects, including complex and first-of-a-kind implementations.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across multiple Tietoevry service practices and delivery units, including offshore and nearshore teams.
- Maintain full financial responsibility for project budgets, forecasts, profitability, and financial reporting.
- Act as the main point of contact for customer stakeholders, Steering Committees, and internal leadership, ensuring transparent communication and alignment.
- Participate in the sales and pre-sales process, contributing to planning, scoping, and ensuring realistic delivery commitments.
- Drive strong customer relationships, ensuring project outcomes align with business objectives and customer expectations.
- Influence and coordinate internal teams, partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
- Lead project teams by allocating resources, guiding team members, and supporting their development.
- Ensure effective risk management, governance, and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
- Represent the organization in external project management forums, presentations, or customer engagements when relevant.
- Proven experience managing complex IT projects or programs, ideally in global or multi-site environments.
- Fluent English and Russian language knowledge
- Strong understanding of project governance, financial management, and resource planning.
- Experience working with cross-organizational teams, vendors, and offshore/nearshore delivery models.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large project teams and influence stakeholders across different organizational levels.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience working with executive-level customer representatives.
- Experience supporting or participating in pre-sales and project planning activities.
- Ability to work independently with high accountability, proactively driving initiatives and decisions.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
- Experience delivering complex IT or digital transformation projects is considered an advantage.
