Now you have that opportunity - to become part of the Machine Learning team of Danske Bank's 1st Line Financial Crime organisation. Our team is responsible for fraud detection machine learning models scoring transactions in real-time and investigating ideas for creating machine learning models for other use cases in the department.
We are looking for a Data Scientist to strengthen the team, which is located in Lithuania. Python is the primary language, and most applications are coded in Python.
You will be involved in the ongoing and new projects related to various financial crime areas: Fraud, Transaction Monitoring, KYC ODD, etc.
Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer you different seniority of the role.

Monthly salary range from 3440 – 5160 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).

You will be involved in the ongoing and new projects related to various financial crime areas: Fraud, Transaction Monitoring, KYC ODD, etc.

You will:
- Create new and maintain already running machine learning models with Python
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers responsible for the machine learning platform and with various Analysts from different relevant teams
- Work on developing a machine learning model on a new platform in AWS to detect fraud in business customer transactions
- Explore new ideas and create Proof of Concepts to optimise decision making in different areas in 1st Line Financial Crime
- 2+ year of experience in an analytical or Data Scientist role
- Proven ability to analyse large and complex datasets
- Proficiency in Python and the commonly used machine learning packages (pandas, scikit-learn, pyspark, XGBoost, …)
- Knowledge in SQL and previous experience working with classification problems are considered an advantage
- Comprehensive analytical and problem-solving skills
- Open-mindedness, with a willingness to consider new ideas and perspectives
- Ownership of your projects, proactively seeking ways find best ideas and achieve best results
- Advanced skills in spoken and written English
