Would you like to build software that makes complex data easy to understand, and that helps the energy sector face up to the great challenges of the energy transition? At Phase to Phase, the Dutch market leader in grid calculation software, you’ll have plenty of room to shape to your own role as a developer. You take initiative, shift easily from frontend to backend, and love working in a small, committed team on developing advanced products that contribute effectively to a better world. Knowledge of the energy domain is a plus, but is not essential: you’ll learn as you go along.
Your job as a Full-stack Developer in brief
You contribute to the development and continued development of our applications for the energy sector. An important part of your job is to realize Software as a Service concepts. You will be helping us transform our strong portfolio of desktop and cloud applications into modern cloud solutions. And not only by programming: you contribute proactively to consultations about choices, never lose sight of the bigger picture, and coordinate with colleagues and stakeholders. You make assessments, map risks, and helpthe team to move toward the result.
In this multifaceted job, you will be working for example on designing and building dashboards that tell users at a glance whether an electrical network is healthy. You model and validate network data and translate the results into clear visualizations. But you’ll also look for potential improvements of existing code in the fields of performance, maintainability, and reliability, ensure the testability of all parts, and help roll out new releases smoothly.
As Full-stack Developer, you will be working in a team of approx. 10 people. You are a real unifying force in the team. As soon as you notice that any of your colleagues are stranded, you offer to help. In discussions, you make sure all voices are heard. Your wide experience gives you a pragmatic, result-oriented approach and a strong focus on quality, and makes you someone your colleagues look to for support.
In principle, you will work at our office in the city center of Arnhem, 10 minutes’ walk from Arnhem CS (there is also a parking garage below the building). But hybrid working is possible too, for example two or three days a week at the office and the rest of the time at home. Make sure you’re in the office on Fridays though, or you’ll mis the weekly after-work drinks (during worktime!).

- at least 5 years’ experience as a developer;
- demonstrable knowledge of C# and TypeScript;
- experience both with frontend and with backend;
- feeling for code quality, reviews, and testing;
- a Bachelor or Master degree.
