Your Role

We are currently looking for a PHP / Laravel Developer responsible for managing back-end services for our web applications. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic; building features, improving legacy areas, debugging production issues, design and maintenance of the database. Helping keep a large backend understandable and reliable while ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain server-side logic using Laravel and PHP.
• Collaborate with Product Manager, Frontend Developers, Testers, and other teams to translate business rules into a high-performance PHP-based web application.
• Improve legacy code by refactoring unclear logic into maintainable services and flows.
• Design and maintain APIs, integrations, webhooks, and connections with external services and payment providers.
• Ensure application security, data protection, and backend reliability.
• Contribute to database design, query performance, and long-term maintainability.
• Support production systems by investigating bugs, resolving incidents, and preventing regressions.
• Maintain engineering quality through best practices, code reviews, and automated testing, including end-to-end coverage where appropriate.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience with PHP and Laravel in production environments.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, service-oriented design, and common Laravel patterns.
• Hands-on experience with SQL schema design, REST API design, MVC, and SOLID principles.
• Ability to write clear, maintainable code and improve code that is currently difficult to understand.
• Practical experience with automated testing and a strong understanding of software quality.
• Confidence working with APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations.
• Good knowledge of MySQL/SQL and performance-conscious query design.
• Experience with testing tools such as PHPUnit or Pest, including mocking and test isolation.
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Experience with Vue or Livewire is a plus.
• Good written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Laravel Nova or similar admin panels.
• Familiarity with Redis, queues, and basic infrastructure or operational scripting.
• Experience in monoliths or mature legacy codebases with mixed patterns.
• Exposure to Docker and CI/CD workflows.
