This role is ideal for a creative brand designer passionate about organic food and visual storytelling. The position involves developing a cohesive visual identity for a small Illinois-based farm specializing in value-added products such as sauerkraut, cold-pressed juices, and kale chips. The designer will be responsible for crafting vibrant, hand-drawn style vector illustrations that capture the freshness and authenticity of farm-grown produce. The goal is to create a colorful, organic brand presence across the website, product labels, and digital marketing materials, ensuring all assets reflect the farm’s mission and values.

Deliverables

  • Develop a unified brand identity, including logo, color palette, and typography, with an organic and hand-drawn aesthetic.
  • Design product labels for a range of farm-grown foods, featuring custom illustrations of vegetables and fermented products.
  • Create website illustrations and visual assets that enhance the online presence and communicate the brand’s story.
  • Produce digital marketing materials, such as banners and social media graphics, consistent with the established visual style.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all branding assets align with the farm’s mission and product offerings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in brand design, particularly for food, agriculture, or wellness sectors.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing hand-drawn vector illustration skills and colorful, organic design work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) or equivalent design tools.
  • Ability to translate brand values into compelling visual assets across multiple platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to incorporate feedback.
  • Familiarity with web design principles and digital asset creation.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deliverables within deadlines.
  • Availability for remote collaboration; location in the US preferred but not required.
