The Opportunity
Are you a Network and Systems administrator or IT Security expert with a passion for educating? Noroff Higher Vocational College is currently seeking a Campus teacher in Bergen. You will join a distributed team of educators, working in close collaboration, delivering vocational courses in Network and Systems Administration (NSA) and Network and IT-Security (NIS). As such, evidence of prior teamwork, teaching and excellent communication skills are essential.
In addition to area of expertise, we are looking to appoint someone who is enthusiastic about learning and education in general and is open to innovative models of learning and teaching.

Your key responsibilities
- Teach our campus students with lectures and practical (PRAX) sessions and associated administration for courses.
- Develop and contribute to the maintenance of courses
- Develop and run effective assessments with adequate feedback to students
- To undertake appropriate levels of guidance, care and support for students ensuring interpersonal skills are adequately developed.
- To supervise the work of students in areas such as personal projects, fieldwork, and industry placements.
- To communicate effectively with colleagues and students through internal networks, and the sharing of ideas and information.
- The ability to engage students at all levels in innovative, informative, and rigorous teaching and learning practices
Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Security or a related field, Vocational higher professional degree in Networking and Security or relevant skills and experience in the following areas:
- Penetration testing practice and procedures
- Operating systems
- Networks and Network Security
- Programming (Python)
- Professional level Norwegian and English
Experience we also value
While it is not essential, the following will strengthen your application.
- Previous teaching experience in Higher education.
- Experience in the design, development, and implementation of network curriculum
- Teaching qualification, or Higher education pedagogy training.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) such as Moodle.
- Passion for developing Network security talent and nurturing critical thinking skills.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and threats.

- Excellent team work and communication skills.
- Ability to contribute to a dynamic and visionary team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deliver on deadlines with good time-management skills.
- Be prepared to arrange and participate in student-centered extra-curricular activities, such as field trips
