Role: Senior Project Manager – Database Infrastructure (Banking Domain)
Location: Dubai
Notice: 30 days
Duration: 12 months extendable
Note: Banking domain is mandatory for this position.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with strong expertise in Database Infrastructure Delivery to lead complex technology programs within a regulated banking environment in the UAE.
This role is ideal for professionals who have successfully delivered large-scale database migration and infrastructure modernization programs while ensuring alignment with banking regulations, security standards, and compliance frameworks.
🔎 Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end delivery of database and infrastructure transformation initiatives
• Manage database migrations, consolidation, modernization, performance optimization, and security uplift programs
• Drive project governance including project plans, RAID logs, governance decks, and stakeholder communication
• Coordinate with architects, engineering teams, and vendors on HA solutions, DR architecture, and performance planning
• Ensure adherence to UAE banking regulations, PCI DSS, and compliance standards
💡 Technical Expertise Required
• Strong experience with enterprise database platforms
• Hands-on exposure to database migration strategies, replication, and high availability
• Oracle Exadata experience is highly preferred (sizing, migration planning, performance tuning)
• Good understanding of infrastructure domains including compute, storage, networking, virtualization, IAM, and cybersecurity
📊 Experience & Qualifications
• 10+ years of overall IT experience with 6+ years in Project Management
• Experience managing large-scale database or infrastructure programs
• Strong understanding of PMO frameworks, SDLC, Agile/Waterfall methodologies
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, ITIL, or Cloud are a plus
• Banking / Financial Services industry experience preferred
