We seek a Senior Backend Engineer with experience in Backbase and .NET. Who You Are
This is a 100% remote, full-time position; however, candidates must be based in Canada.
Compensation
The typical salary range for this position is: CAD $90K-$120K annually. Salary offered will be based on skills, experience, and market data. Who You Are
- You worked in the agencies/professional services companies, are consultative, professional, client-facing, with impeccable communication skills
- You can handle working on multiple projects or tasks and keep them all under control
- You are passionate about technology and using it to help solve complex business challenges
- You easily transform business requirements into technical architecture
- You collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, and your development team to deliver compelling products and services
- You can learn fast (like, really fast) and are ready to make a big impact
- You apply Agile values to your work and understand how they can improve your team’s success
- You value writing clean, maintainable, testable code that solves business problems quickly
- You are proactive, engaged, consultative, and comfortable interacting with clients to solve their business challenges
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good teamwork skills and experience performing peer code reviews
- 8+ years of production-level experience in .NET (C#, .NET Core / .NET 5+, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework)
- Expertise in Backbase digital banking platform integration and extension
- Proficiency in RESTful Web Services and APIs (JSON, XML)
- Experience with Microservices architecture and unit testing using .NET testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest)
- Hands-on knowledge of web servers and hosting environments (e.g., Kestrel, IIS, or cloud-native app services)
- Familiarity with Git or similar source control tools
- Knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns and modern .NET messaging frameworks (e.g., MassTransit, MediatR)
- Experience developing large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with SaaS platforms or Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA)
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in handling sensitive data security
- Good knowledge of SQL
- Experience with FinTech or working with financial services, credit unions, or banks
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Knowledge of TDD and Continuous Integration (CI) processes
- Awareness of OWASP best practices for secure code
- Experience with Hibernate or other persistence frameworks
- Strong database experience (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, NoSQL)
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
