urgent requirement for Project Controls Manager (Industrial/Smelter)- EPCM, P6, and EVM is required for clients in Sohar, Oman
ü - 15+ years’ experience in Project Controls for large industrial projects, preferable aluminum smelters
ü - Expertise in project planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project)
ü - Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and estimating
ü - Ability to develop project reporting tools
ü - Ability to develop and monitor project schedules, progress curves, and KPIs
ü - Ability to review work estimates
ü - Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM)
ü - Reporting skills for management dashboards and client updates
ü - Risk management and change control experience

- Strong experience in Industrial Mastery (Aluminum/Heavy Power)is THE Must
- Strong experience in Large-Scale Industrial aluminum smelters or Power Plants, not just general construction is the MUST
- Strong experience in Primavera P6 skills coupled with Earned Value Management (EVM) is MUST
- Strong experience in EPCM Governance & Change Control is MUST
- Responsible for the overall development, performance and quality of project controls reporting: schedule and cost
- Reviews and/or participates in estimates and proposal schedule
- Establishes and maintains estimate database consisting of manhour rates, unit rates, labour surveys, productivity comparisons, escalation profiles, etc..
- Establishes and manages systems and procedures to assure the development of schedule & budget. Establishes the rules of credit for progress monitoring and reporting. Analyses variations, trends and forecasts to report future trends on cost and schedule, to enable informed decision making by Project Manager
- Establishes change management procedures and administers the change management process of the project.
- Where applicable, directs and controls EPCM Contractor to ensure accurate and good quality reporting on project progress with forward looking reports
- Supports establishing packaging strategy and package definitions
- Develops overall risk management plan for the project and facilitates mitigation measures.
- Maintains an up-to-date risk register of the project with controls, mitigations, residuals, status. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely and satisfactorily closure of each item on the register
- Establishes cash flow and reports to corporate finance. Facilitates invoice verification.
- Facilitates the establishment of project KPIs and reports against them
