urgent requirement for Construction Manager – Aluminium Smelter (Brownfield) is required for clients in Sohar, Oman
ü - Responsible for site EHS compliance and site security
ü - Develops construction management plan to ensure construction activities are carried out safely and in accordance with drawings/specifications
ü - Ensures Contractor’s laydown areas and camps are compliant with local laws and regulations and are compliant with project HSE requirements
ü - Coordinates Contractor’s activities and develop forward looking execution plans to ensure availability of resources and materials in order for the construction activities are carried out safely, on time and to quality
ü - Monitors Contractor’s performance and ensures corrective actions are taken as necessary
ü - Responsible for preparation of the facilities to be handed over to Pre-Commissioning including turn over packs

ü Role Requirements
ü - 12+ years experience in large-scale industrial construction projects, specifically aluminium smelter projects
ü - Experience in brownfield work inside an operating aluminium smelter
ü - Knowledge of heavy equipment installation, structural steel erection, concrete works, busbar welding, and lifting heavy weights
ü - Ability to manage subcontractors and construction workforce
ü - Familiar with turn over procedures from Construction to Pre-Commissioning
ü - Familiarity with construction safety standards
ü - Strong leadership, coordination, planning and communication skills
ü - Experience in conducting daily progress monitoring and reporting
ü - Problem-solving skills for site issues and technical challenges

- Strong experience in Brownfield Smelter Operations- aluminium smelter projects is THE Must
- Strong experience in inside an active smelter involves extreme magnetic fields and molten metal risks is the MUST
- Strong experience in Busbar Welding and Critical Lift Planning is MUST
- Strong experience in turn over procedures from Construction to Pre-Commissioning is MUST
