Senior Java Engineer – Greenfield Platform

Our client, a world-class trading firm, is hiring several Java Engineers to help design and build a next-generation platform. This is a multi-year greenfield programme, offering the opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented engineers in the industry while shaping a system from the ground up.

We’re looking for passionate Java technologists who enjoy building high-quality systems end-to-end. You’ll play a key role in taking applications from proof of concept through to production, working in a cloud-native environment using AWS and the latest versions of Java and Kotlin.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in modern Java (Java 21+) and/or Kotlin
• Demonstrated experience building end-to-end applications
• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver high-performance backend services
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle, from POC to production
• Develop cloud-native applications using AWS
• Collaborate closely with highly skilled engineers in a fast-paced trading environment
• Help shape architecture, engineering standards, and best practices
