The Role

You will be joining a long standing established Engineering team where your ideas will be listened too. It’s a mature, adult environment where as long as the work gets done its pretty relaxed with every Wednesday working from home.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and improving backend functionality within a large PHP codebase & Symfony frameworks.
• Designing and maintaining REST APIs and integrations with external systems
• Improving database performance and system reliability
• Working across both backend and frontend components where required
• Working on delivering key projects across their SaaS platform.

Your Profile

• 3-5+ years pure PHP backend engineering.
• Your end client will be in the gambling sector – must be comfortable with this.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced SaaS environment
• Experience working with Symfony or Laravel frameworks
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs and system integrations
• Strong understanding of relational databases such as MySQL
• Experience working within collaborative Agile development teams
• Exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines
