We’re seeking an experienced Application Developers – Java to join a team delivering secure, high-quality online services and web applications.
This role focuses on design, development, and maintenance of solutions that meet client requirements and support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform systems analysis, design, and development of new or enhanced systems using Java and related technologies
- Build solutions in line with enterprise standards and practices
- Ensure quality and security of online services and web applications
- Resolve application support issues and provide guidance on maintenance and support
- Adhere to change and release management procedures
- Participate in regular system maintenance tasks
- Support team health, safety, and wellbeing
Technical Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years enterprise Java development (Java 17 or 21)
- JSF (Primefaces or other component library)
- Web development: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
- Spring 5.x, including Spring Security
- Hibernate / JPA
- Maven
- Unit and integration testing (Mockito, PowerMock, jUnit)
- Version control using GIT (Atlassian Bitbucket)
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Web testing tools (e.g., Selenium)
- Oracle database (SQL, PL/SQL)
- Application servers (TomEE or Tomcat)
- IDE: IntelliJ, Eclipse, or similar
- Deployment and maintenance of Unix/Windows hosted solutions
- Experience in software development teams with a quality focus and CI/CD
This role will be offered as an initial contract to 31 December 2026.
