We are looking for a Global Mobility Specialist to join our strong and collaborative team of mobility professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Global Mobility expert with a proven background in short-term assignment management and international tax processes.
In this role, you will manage end-to-end short-term assignment processes, drive development initiatives, and represent the Global Mobility function confidently across the organization. You will play a key role in how Valmet’s cross-border assignments support our core project business.
In This Position, You Will
- Manage end-to-end global mobility processes for short-term international assignments, including assignment agreements, immigration, individual income tax compliance, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulations related to income tax, social security, and immigration.
- Create clear and compliant global mobility instructions for project business and ensure assignments follow defined rules and regulations.
- Work at the core of Valmet’s project business, supporting cross-border operations and collaborating closely with the Group Tax team, Finance, People & Culture Operations and external providers, ensuring accurate and timely execution of assignment processes.
- Serve as a Global Mobility business partner, collaborating with business units to forecast mobility needs and support implementation.
- Monitor regional compliance changes, share insights, and drive continuous improvement in Global Mobility practices.
- Utilize AI tools and data analytics to enhance reporting, identify trends, and optimize processes.
- Preferably 5 years of experience in Global Mobility or similar roles.
- Proven experience in short-term assignment management, including tax-related processes.
- Strong knowledge of international income tax, social security, immigration regulations, and compliance risk management.
- Fluent English (required).
- Previous in-house Global Mobility experience.
- Experience supporting industrial project-based assignments.
- The ability to independently manage complex processes and represent a global function with confidence.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cultures, with experience working in global and multicultural environments.
- A detail-oriented mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a global, fast-paced environment.
- A solution-oriented attitude, strong willingness to learn, and openness to new challenges.
- A positive mindset, great attitude, and eagerness to continuously develop and grow.
- A data-driven mindset and the ability to leverage AI and analytics for process optimization.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and mobility platforms.
- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Personnel Administration, Economics, Law, Commerce, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field.
