Lead Technical Artist – Digital Assets, Avatars & Virtual Fashion

We are building a new way of combining physical products with digital products, combining them with a next-generation scalable blockchain.

Voaki has an established background in physical design products and is now expanding its focus toward digital systems and blockchain-enabled assets. Alongside the digital roadmap, we are exploring new manufacturing techniques that may open future possibilities in wearables and phygitals.

We are looking for a 3D/technical artist interested in contributing to digital asset pipelines and workflows related to NFTs, virtual fashion items and avatars.

Your focus:

Building code-driven pipelines so users can adjust their models within our service

Cleaning and optimizing standards for 3D scanned objects and avatars

Reducing file size and complexity for real-time use

Converting and adapting asset formats (games, meteverses)

Creating and modifying textures and materials for photorealistic or stylized digital looks

Solving fitting and compatibility issues between avatars and digital fashion assets

Working with rigging, skinning, weight painting, morph targets / blend shapes

Requirements:

Essential:

Strong Python skills

Experience writing code for 3D asset processing, automation pipelines, and user-driven asset customization

Nice to have:

Unity (C#) or Unreal Engine (C++)

Shader or material pipeline experience

Experience integrating 3D pipelines into backend or web services

Familiarity with NFTs, virtual assets, or metaverse platforms

Background in fashion design, garment construction, or pattern making

Experience translating physical clothing into digital garments

Experience with next-generation blockchain platforms

Pipeline ownership & collaboration:

Leading the technical direction of 3D asset pipelines

Defining standards for asset quality, performance, and compatibility

Supporting and guiding other artists or contributors as the team grows

Time Commitment:

Full-time commitment is preferred. Short-term part-time involvement at the beginning is acceptable, with the expectation of transitioning toward full-time as the company progresses and funding allows.

Location & Work Mode:

Remote or hybrid work is possible. Occasional availability to work on-site in Lahti, Finland, is considered a nice to have.

Compensation:

Equity-based (shares).

Recruitment Process:

We use a step-by-step recruitment process. Selected candidates will be invited to complete a short questionnaire. Some candidates will be invited to a deeper discussion, where we share more details about the product vision, roadmap, and company plans. Equity structure and collaboration details are discussed later in the process.
