Product Manager (Core Product – Mobile Apps)

Location: Remote within Germany (hybrid optional)

Start: ASAP

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to take operational ownership of our client's core product: a large-scale consumer mobile application across iOS, Android, and Web.

You’ll drive product development end-to-end — from discovery and user research to shaping and delivery — working closely with design and engineering teams in a modern Shape Up environment.

This is a high-impact role where you define what problems to solve and how to approach them, while empowered teams execute.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead product development from discovery → shaping → delivery
  • Conduct user research (interviews, usability testing) together with design
  • Define and prioritize user problems (not just features)
  • Own product decisions and documentation (Confluence, Jira)
  • Collaborate closely with iOS, Android, Web & Backend teams
  • Use data (e.g. Mixpanel) to inform decisions and track KPIs
  • Shape solutions at the right level (clear direction, no over-specification)
  • Work within a Shape Up model (6-week cycles, autonomous teams)

How We Work (Shape Up)

  • No sprint micromanagement or backlog grooming
  • Focus on problem definition and shaping
  • Teams own execution during build cycles
  • Fixed time, flexible scope
  • PMs drive what & why, teams drive how

Must-Have Requirements

  1. Several years as a Product Manager in B2C mobile apps (iOS/Android)
  2. Hands-on user research experience (you’ve run interviews yourself)
  3. Strong product analytics experience (Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
  4. Experience working with designers and cross-functional dev teams
  5. Fluent German (mandatory, minimum C1)
  6. Comfortable using and experimenting with AI tools in daily work

Mindset We’re Looking For

  • High ownership & urgency
  • Curious and proactive learner
  • Pragmatic decision-maker (comfortable with ambiguity)
  • Strong user-centric thinking (problems > features)

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a scale-up environment (30–60 people)
  • Cross-platform experience (mobile + web)
  • Experience with Shape Up or similar frameworks
  • Workshop / facilitation experience
  • Experience with AI technologies in a product context

What You’ll Get

  • High ownership and autonomy
  • Direct collaboration with senior product leadership
  • Learning budget and professional development support
  • Home office support
  • The opportunity to shape a product used at scale
