The Computing Services Department at SETU is a Professional Support Service that is responsible for the strategic development of the campus computing, telephony, audio visual, multimedia and information systems infrastructure. Computing Services maintain enterprise scale networks, systems, applications and data infrastructure. It is also responsible for the delivery of end user services to the staff, learners and researchers of the University.
SETU's Carlow Campus is now seeking to recruit an ICT Technician to support the day-to-day operational ICT and Audio Visual requirements of its large user base. This new role will provide hands-on technical support to undergraduate and postgraduate media programmes, including TV and radio production, audio post-production, podcasting and digital media courses. The job requires an energetic, enthusiastic individual with a broad-based knowledge of enterprise level ICT systems and technologies as well as experience in the process of content creation for traditional and emerging media platforms.
The ICT Technician will be part of a dynamic team of professionals, responsible for supporting and developing current systems and infrastructure including PC & Mac desktops and operating systems, applications, servers, network devices, virtualisation platforms, printing services, audio-visual equipment and online teaching technologies.
