As we continue our journey toward becoming Ireland’s most trusted and sustainable business, we have an exciting opportunity for Data Analyst for Trading to join our team.

As the Data Analyst for Trading, you will enable data driven trading decisions through the design, ownership, and continuous improvement of high-quality Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.

The successful candidate can be based from Dublin or Cork, Occasional travel to Cork.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing, building, and maintaining high impact Power BI dashboards covering supplier performance, pricing, volume, margin, promotions, investment effectiveness, and range decisions.
  • Owning the end-to-end dashboard lifecycle, from requirements gathering and KPI definition through data modelling, visual design, testing, deployment, and optimisation.
  • Partnering closely with Trading, Commercial, and Finance stakeholders to translate decision making needs into intuitive, actionable BI solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining robust Power BI semantic models to ensure consistency of metrics and definitions across Trading and Commercial reporting.
  • Delivering self-serve reporting to support supplier and category reviews, trading and margin tracking, cost price movements, promotional performance, and space and range decisions.
  • Ensuring dashboards are performant, well structured, and user friendly, following Power BI and data visualisation best practices.
  • Working with data engineers and the wider Data Science & Analytics team to ensure reliable, high quality data pipelines.
  • Acting as a trusted analytics partner, helping Trading teams interpret insight, identify risks and opportunities, and improve decision quality.
  • Driving standardisation of Trading KPIs and replacing manual or spreadsheet based reporting with automated BI solutions.
  • Contributing to documentation, governance, and continuous improvement of Power BI assets.


What we’re looking for:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a Data Analyst or similar role.
  • Understanding and experience of data analysis and manipulation techniques on data
  • Experience translating statistical models for non-technical audience
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Ability to create and interpret statistical models
  • Experience with a Predictive Analytics tool
  • Experience in project co-ordination and planning, and the ability to handle a number of projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent inter-personal, organisational and time-management skills
  • Retail and/or Ecommerce industry experience would be advantageous
