Role Overview
The Global Technical Services Leader – Carbon Black (Inks, Paints & Coatings) will lead the global technical services function, focusing on application development, product qualification, and customer technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as technical authority for carbon black applications in inks and coatings
- Provide guidance on dispersion, rheology, gloss, undertone, and formulation performance
- Support customer trials, product qualification, and scale-up activities
- Translate customer requirements into product and R&D roadmaps
- Collaborate with R&D, Sales, and Manufacturing teams on product improvements
- Lead technical issue resolution and root cause analysis
- Represent the organization in technical discussions and industry events
- Build and mentor a global technical services team
- Master’s or PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or Chemical Engineering
- 10+ years experience in carbon black for inks and/or coatings
- Strong knowledge of dispersion science, rheology, and application testing
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles in specialty chemicals
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluent German and English.
