Junior Data / ML Engineer - Performance Marketing

About The Team

You’ll join the Measurement & Steering Engineering team within the Performance Marketing department, a team which builds advanced data products focused on measuring the performance of our marketing activities and steering our marketing investments with a direct impact on millions of Euros.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED


  • Implement and maintain high-performance and growth-ready data-processing and data integration pipelines to measure the performance (Return on Investment) of our marketing activities. Find out how we do this here
  • Support our data scientists by preparing features for their models and operate machine learning pipelines
  • Extend and maintain our internal A/B testing platform for marketing that is used to schedule, implement and monitor marketing incrementality tests
  • Collaborate with our product managers on defining roadmaps and ideas to further develop our products. You will not only develop your technical skills, but also improve your business knowledge in our team
  • Help us improve in various areas such as our ways of working and the technologies we use


What We’re Looking For


  • 1- 2 + years experience in implementing, monitoring and optimizing large scale batch data processing jobs in Apache Spark, Python, and SQL
  • Experience working with data scientists to know the process of experimentation to productionisation. This includes basic knowledge of machine learning concept such as training vs inference, backtesting, model monitoring
  • Working knowledge in AWS, Databricks, backend system, microservice, and/or Web UI is a plus
  • Motivation to work in a cross-functional environment with constant exchange between product, data science and engineering. You are not purely focused on coding but also eager to understand the bigger picture and the why behind the what. You make technical complexity understandable for the business.
