Full Stack Engineer

I am currently working with an Irish-owned tech start-up based near Cork. The company have been consistently growing their engineering team over the past 3-4 years, bringing in a range of talented software engineers, from junior to lead. The company are looking for experienced software developers that have worked with React on the front end. React is essential for this role, however, any other front end libraries or frameworks are also beneficial. The team are currently working on-site 2-3 days per week. You will be required to go into the office for this role.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain front-end components using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Design and build RESTful APIs and backend services using
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and user experience.
Write clean, maintainable code and conduct peer code reviews.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices.

Requirements:

3+ years' experience working in a full stack role
Strong proficiency in React and related libraries (e.g., Redux, React Hooks, etc.).
Solid knowledge of front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience building RESTful APIs and working with backend languages (PHP, Node, Python)
Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
Understanding of Agile development practices
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
