Our client is a tech-bio startup that develops cutting-edge AI methods in genome, protein and large language models to accelerate drug discovery and translational medicine. Due to their growth they are looking to expand their team in Basel, Zurich and Lausanne.

For the location in Basel or Zurich we are looking for a UX/UI & Design Technologist.

Role Mission

As dedicated designer, you will own the visual soul of the company. You will split your time between refining the client's two core AI-driven products—Scientific Research Assistant and Scientific Publication Platform—and building a world-class corporate identity that resonates with both scientists and investors

Key Focus Areas

• 40% Corporate Identity & Marketing: Designing high-stakes executive presentations, conference materials, social media visuals, and event collateral. You will build and maintain the web presence.
• 40% Product UX/UI: Evolving their MVP products into polished, intuitive tools for the scientific community.
• 20% Engineering Collaboration: Partnering with the Chief Architect and Frontend Devs to build and maintain a robust component library.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Evolution: Translate complex scientific workflows into clean UX/UI for the Research Assistant and Publication Platform.
• Rapid Functional Prototyping: Utilize "Vibe Coding" and AI-assisted tools (like Lovable, Replit, or Bolt) to build live, interactive prototypes that test user flows before they hit the formal development cycle.
• Design-to-Code Systems: Bridge the gap between vision and execution by maintaining a Figma-to-Storybook pipeline, ensuring component libraries are technically viable for Frontend Engineers and UI remains scalable
• Brand Stewardship: Ensure a consistent "look and feel" across the website, LinkedIn, and physical events.
• The "Executive Edge": Craft visually stunning decks for board meetings and global conferences using advanced presentation tools.
• Automated Executive Storytelling: Leverage Gamma or Beautiful.ai to rapidly iterate on high-stakes board decks and conference presentations, maintaining 100% brand consistency with 50% less manual effort.
